The Fèis Ìle, The World’s LARGEST Music & Malt Festival, Are Running Two Competitions For Charity

Helping to raise funds for the world’s largest Music & Malt festival, the Fèis Ìle, we will be hosting TWO competitions on behalf of the Fèis Ìle. Beginning with these beautiful Angels’ Share, and then a HUGE second competition, keep your eyes peeled, as that won’t be one to miss out on…!

Angels’ Share Glass – The Queen of the Hebrides – A HUGE 15 Winners!

These limited edition Angels are handblown by master glassblowers and made entirely in Scotland.

Filled with whisky from Bunnahabhain Distillery and aged for 13 years, these were from bottle number 20 from only 100 bottles finished in a Marsala cask. Bottled at 46.3%, this was released specially for Fèis Ìle 2017.

The Angels’ Share of Whisky is sealed in a secret process known to the skilled glassblowers that make them. Adorned by a gold crown with glass stones and a felt cloak, this Queen of the Hebrides is a perfect collectible. The Angel sits on a refashioned oak barrel stave with a tartan finish.

Each item comes with an authentication certificate.

The festival was founded by locals in 1986 to celebrate the culture and heritage of our magical island. Located in the Inner Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland, Islay is home to no fewer than 9 world-famous, whisky distilleries. The festival is held each year at the end of May, and runs for a week. Each distillery has its own open day, with special tastings and events. In addition, the music element comes from local musicians and also invited artists from the mainland  The emphasis is on traditional Scottish music with concerts and ceilidhs, pipers, as well as kids events, Gaelic lessons, local arts & crafts, guided walks and more!

Anyone who has been to Islay for Fèis Ìle, will probably know how busy the island gets with people coming to enjoy music, whisky and the friendly nature of the Islay locals. BUT, believe it or not, the Fèis Ìle a small, non-profit organisation, run wholly by volunteers, who organise this world-famous festival, alongside other events throughout the year.

Why Fundraise?

Fèis Ìle is a non-profit organisation. Everything they do is working towards two aims:

1) Building a better festival.

2) Supporting the culture and community of Islay.

In the past, they have run community events throughout the year, supported charitable organisations, and have arranged for artists and musicians to come into the local school.
