Adding Belgium To World Whisky Day with this Belgian Single Malt Whisky.
Scotland has kicked off our gigantic World Whisky Day celebrations with the The Macallan Edition Set on the 15th of May. With Mexico, Wales, Finland, India, New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark & Switzerland also running we now have France, Israel, Australia, Belgium & the Netherlands to add into the night of celebrations which is aiming to be our biggest night of live draws to date!
We once read the following statement about Belgian whisky and knew we had to try it, after taking delivery of our first bottle of this owl 3 year old we were pleasantly surprised, for such a young whisky it has matured rapidly into a fruity single malt that could fool even an experienced palate with its maturity and age.
So prominent is the country’s reputation as one of the beer capitals of the world, Belgium’s whisky output pretty much slipped under the radar until this point. It’s a damn shame, because if Belgian Owl Whisky is anything to go by they may just be onto something. This is a wonderful fruity malt with notes of herbs and barley. Aged for three years in first-fill bourbon barrels.
