An Exclusive, Vintage Bottling Of Dalmore
Matured in a combination of 65% Matusalem sherry and 35% American white oak, this is a rich and powerful whisky, chosen by the distillery manager at the time, Ian Mackay.
Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy departed, the distillery was left in tatters, and – after a long compensation battle involving the House of Lords – the distillery was brought back online in 1922. Now Dalmore, under the stewardship of Richard Paterson, presents itself as a luxury brand with a history of wealthy backers, with some of its bottlings among the most expensive in the world, and the most collectible…
