Ultra Rare, OFFICIAL Rosebank 8 Year Old – 1970’s Bottling!

This isn’t a sight that you often see. An official, seventies bottling of ROSEBANK which almost didn’t make it onto the Luxury & Rare website😆

This ultra-rare, extremely sought-after bottling of Rosebank also comes complete with the old style white label, and an RRP of £1200! The mothballed distillery of Rosebank has long been regarded as one of the finest – if not the finest- Lowland style whisky and has quickly reached a cult following similar to Port Ellen & Brora.

Rosebank is the sleeping giant of Falkirk. Established in 1798 it had a tumultuous history, with the distillery eventually being mothballed in 1993 with it’s historical maltings demolished for a housing development in 2002. In 2008, the iconic copper stills which had lay in the distillery for over 30 years, were stolen and never recovered. Finally, in October 2017, Ian MacLeod Distillers bought Rosebank from Diageo, and confirmed the re-building of the Rosebank Distillery. The new distillery will produce the whisky in its old style, with equipment modelled after its original stills.
